What is a judicial appraisal?
A judicial appraisal is a technical report prepared by a certified professional that serves as evidence in legal proceedings. As a certified appraiser registered with the Costa Rican Judicial Branch, Eng. José Alberto Díaz V. prepares expert opinions that determine the value of real estate within the context of legal disputes, providing the judge with objective technical elements for decision-making.
What legal proceedings require an expert report?
Real estate expert reports are required in a wide variety of proceedings: divorce cases for asset division, inheritance proceedings to determine the estate's value, government expropriations, co-ownership disputes, boundary and easement conflicts, property damage cases, and any proceeding where a property's value is in dispute.
Expert witness appearances
In addition to written reports, we offer court appearance services to support and defend the expert opinion. With over 15 years of experience, Eng. Díaz presents technical findings in a clear and well-founded manner, responding to inquiries from both the judge and the parties involved in the proceedings.
